At Unity Shelter, we offer rewarding volunteer opportunities across our programs, with more opportunities to come!

Combined Shelter

•  Meal Service Volunteer: Assist with meal prep, washing dishes, and serving our guests.  (Mon & Tue 5-8 pm | Wed 3-6 pm | Wed-Sun 6-8 pm |  Thu & Fri 10 am-1 pm)

Hygiene Center

• Stone Soup: Assist with meal service and cleanup 

                  (Mon & Thu 5:30-6:30 pm | Wed & Fri 1-2 pm)

• Staff Assistant: Help staff with laundry, escort guests to and from indoor showers, make snack bags, interact and engage with guests, and ensure all guests feel safe, respected, and supported. 

                  (Everyday 11 am- 1pm or 1-4 pm)

• Meal Prep Volunteer: Sandwiches: Make and organize sandwiches to be served to guests in need of a nutritious meal. 

                  (Everyday 10 am-12 pm)

Our onboarding email will provide all the details you need to get started, including training links for food handlers and trauma-informed care, along with important Unity Shelter policies. After completing all required materials and discussing any questions with us, you’ll be ready to sign up for shifts through our Bloomerang page.
