Volunteer with us

At Unity Shelter, we offer rewarding volunteer opportunities across our shelters, with six positions currently available.

At Room at the Inn, you can choose from three roles: 

1. Morning Rover Volunteer: Help set up the shelter, assist with wake-up calls, and prepare breakfast. 
2. Greeter Volunteer: Create a welcoming atmosphere while assisting staff with tasks like cleaning and checking in guests. 
3. Meal Service Volunteer: Assist with meal prep, washing dishes, and serving our guests. 

At the Men’s Shelter, you can volunteer as a: 

1. Staff Assistant: Assist with laundry, wash dishes, and engage with guests. 
2. Engagement and Community Activities Volunteer: Organize games and crafts to help foster a sense of community and support. 
3. Stone Soup Volunteer: Assist with prepping and serving meals on designated days. 

Our onboarding email will provide all the details you need to get started, including training links for food handlers and trauma-informed care, along with important Unity Shelter policies. After completing all required materials and discussing any questions with us, you’ll be ready to sign up for shifts on our Volgistics site.
