Room at the Inn is a 50-bed shelter for female-identifying, non-binary, and non-gender conforming individuals seeking emergency, overnight shelter. Founded in 2013, and hosted by the Methodist Church, Room at the Inn has become an integral part of the sheltering system in Corvallis. Originally a 16-bed, overnight winter shelter, operating November through March, Room at the Inn has grown to much more than simply shelter. In 2016, Room at the Inn added a Case Manager to staff who was able to work year-round to assist guests with addressing barriers to housing, and assisting women with moving from the streets to permanent housing. Now a 50-bed, year round shelter, Room at the Inn provides much needed respite from the outdoors, and a holistic approach to meeting individual's needs.
It is not a requirement of Room at the Inn guests to be clean and sober, however guests must be able to stay safe to self and others in a close-knit community. For more information about staying at Room at the Inn, call 541-207-4636.
