Jorge Ramos-Navarro

Jorge is an Oregon Native. Having spent most of his life in the Willamette Valley, he moved to Corvallis in 2014, where he earned a BS in Natural Resources. After graduation, he spent two seasons working for the Department of Agriculture before transitioning into the nonprofit sector. Since joining Unity shelter, Jorge has been passionate about creating a welcoming space that not only meets immediate needs, but also empowers people to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. His energetic approach and commitment to the community have helped him build long lasting relationships. Jorge looks forward to continuing to uplift and give back to the community through his work.

When he’s not working to ensure everyone has a safe place to call home, Jorge draws inspiration from Oregon’s outdoors and his family’s rich cultural heritage. In the summer you can find him hiding in the mountains, on a paddle board, or having a cookout with his family.
