Erin Frugia

Board Member

Erin Frugia is an Oregonian whose life has been shaped by service, compassion, and a deep commitment to caring for her community. From childhood onward, volunteerism wasn’t just an activity — it became the tone and trajectory of her life. Growing up in environments where helping others was a daily practice, Erin learned early that community care is both a responsibility and a joy. That belief has guided her through more than two decades of nonprofit work and volunteer service.

Erin currently serves as the Development Coordinator for the Oregon 4‑H Foundation, supporting statewide youth development through donor stewardship, fundraising, and community engagement. Her professional background also includes work in K–12 and international school settings, where she focused on building relationships, supporting families, and strengthening collaborative, mission‑driven environments.

Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication, with a minor in Business Administration, from Oregon State University. She first lived in Corvallis as an OSU student from 1998 to 2002 and returned in 2024 to make the city her home once again. As a lifelong Oregonian, she loves the Pacific Northwest — its landscapes, its people, and the sense of community that runs through it.

Her heart for Unity Shelter comes from a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves safety, dignity, and a place to belong. Erin cares deeply about neighbors experiencing homelessness and is committed to supporting Unity Shelter’s mission to provide safe, low‑barrier shelter in Corvallis. She is honored to contribute her time, energy, and skills to an organization that reflects her values so closely.

Erin lives in Corvallis with her husband, three children, two dogs, and two cats. When she’s not working or volunteering, she enjoys bicycling, cheering on OSU athletics, spending time at First Congregational United Church of Christ, and being with her family — the people who inspire her to keep serving her community with compassion and purpose.
